An adorable 100% cotton pointelle jersey from Poppy Europe, featuring sweet little panda faces scattered across a beautifully soft sage background.

The charming black and white pandas have tiny pink ears and are spaced across the fabric amongst a delicate repeating pointelle pattern. The knitted openwork creates tiny diamond-shaped details throughout the fabric, adding both texture and interest without overwhelming the simple panda print.

Made from 100% cotton, this is a beautifully soft and comfortable knitted fabric with natural give from its jersey construction. At approximately 198gsm it sits comfortably in our mediumweight range, giving it enough substance for everyday garments while retaining the softness and flexibility you'd expect from jersey.

The combination of the muted sage colouring, simple panda illustrations and delicate pointelle texture makes this a particularly lovely fabric for baby and children's clothing, while still being subtle enough for adults who simply happen to love pandas.

• Pre-wash before sewing

Pointelle is a knitted fabric made with tiny decorative openwork holes incorporated directly into the knit.

Rather than being a printed or embossed texture, the delicate pattern is created as the fabric itself is knitted, giving pointelle its distinctive lightweight-looking, textured appearance.

This fabric is made from 100% cotton, so although it doesn't contain elastane, its knitted construction provides natural give and flexibility.
