Available in three bold solid colourways – Green, Purple and Pink – this fabric has the sleek surface, excellent stretch and fluid movement associated with traditional swimwear fabric.
The Green and Pink colourways have a more substantial handle, while the Purple is noticeably lighter in weight, giving you a choice depending on the finish and feel you want from your project.

Sewing & Care Notes
• Pre-wash before sewing
• Machine wash at 30°C
• Wash with similar colours
• Avoid high heat
• Do not tumble dry on high heat
• Stretch or ballpoint needle recommended
• Use a stretch stitch or overlocker where possible
• Polyester or stretch thread can be useful for high-stress seams
• Avoid stretching the fabric excessively while sewing
• Test stitch settings on a scrap first
New To Swimwear Lycra?
Swimwear Lycra is a smooth, highly stretchy fabric designed for garments that need to fit closely while allowing plenty of freedom of movement.
Unlike ordinary woven fabrics, its stretch allows garments to move with the body, making it particularly useful for swimwear, dancewear, gymnastics wear and performance clothing.
When sewing highly stretchy fabrics, using the correct stretch or ballpoint needle and a stitch that can stretch with the fabric will help prevent seams from popping when the garment is worn.
