A wonderfully versatile striped cotton jersey featuring a rich purple background with a repeating three-stripe design in contrasting white.

The pattern alternates broader areas of purple with groups of three clean white stripes, giving this fabric a bold, classic look with a slightly more interesting twist than a traditional evenly spaced stripe.

At an impressive 177cm wide, this is an exceptionally useful width for dressmaking, giving you plenty of fabric to work with across the width. Made from 95% cotton with 5% elastane, it has the softness and breathability of cotton combined with comfortable stretch and recovery.

Sewing & Care Notes

• Pre-wash before sewing

• Machine wash at 30°C

• Wash with similar colours

• Cool to medium iron

• Ballpoint or stretch needle recommended

• Use a stretch stitch or overlocker where appropriate

• Avoid stretching the fabric while sewing

• Take care when pattern matching the stripes

• Cotton-rich fabrics may shrink slightly on first wash
